tropic colors
Totally digging floral fabrics at the moment. Its comforting when they're in front of a black base. Black is a color that dominates my wardrobe and color is rarely heard of in my neck of the woods. Totally ready to break out of my comfort zone though and florals are where one can start.
Spending my last days of winter break eating my entire house, watching movies my brother makes mandatory, and screwing up my sleeping schedule so I will never wake up for my 8am classes.
SO ready to get back to the city.

Bo Don for Elle Denmark by Henrik Bulow (Marilyn NY Tumblr)
What grabbed me to this is the deep side part and Bo being hidden behind her own hair and the mix of textures on the last photo.
And lets be honest. Her eyebrows are bangin' and the combo of combat boots with the black maxi skirt is to perfect not to want to try.
Don't you wish you could look that good lounging on a set of stairs?

I'll admit it, I will forever be a sucker for the grunge, sloppy, 90's plaid, rebellion "I'm to cool fo dis shit" look.
Part Mary Kate Olsen other sloppy art student, I'm one of those... but which one? hehe
One look I want to try inspired by this editorial is definitely patterned pants. Plaid and cheetah are on the top of my list but I saw a pair of lace printed pants at Zara and I'm a total sucker for anything lace... hmmm decisions decisions on what to spend my money on.

Audrey Hepburn look alike Rooney Mara graces the cover of Dazed and Confused this January and DOMINATES her spread rocking the likes of Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Balmain.
She graced the Cover of the November (October ?) issue of Vogue, and while Dazed hits it right every time, Anna decides its chic to put Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of every other issue and KILLED IT when she put Rooney on the cover. So obviously Rooney is making some major headlines this year! SO proud baby.

The only thing I dream of when looking at this ed is that everyone still dressed like this everyday. Is it so hard to gel your hair into stiff perfection? Is it! Its probably not to hard to rock a leather jacket, so I don't know why everyone's not doing it! ITS LIKE DRUGS! Except a simple leather jacket wont harm you they way those substances do.
Ok, I'm done.

Can we discuss the hair? lets discuss the hair. I'm obsessed with low pony tails and deep side parts. Clean and out of the way is such a refreshing look.
The outerwear in these two images currently tickles my fancy. I just received a cape from Madewell that I've had my eye on and cant wait to wear it. Do you think I could pull of athletic sandals with it as well as the model in the second photos does?

The pop of color in the second photo with the roses is so wonderful to see.
In photos full of neutral tones, the eye is immediately drawn to the pink roses.

dark side of chanel
Im not really a big fan of Chanel. period. End of story. Its pretty impossible for Karl to win me over on a seasonal basis. The only "Chanel" item I covet on a regular basis is the classic 2.55 bag.
This being said, Karl hit a high note with me and this collection. The dark apocalyptic vibe that was created with the smoke and ash from the runway, kept my attention to all the details.
I liked the juxtaposition this collection presented. The dark and edgy with the classic clean of the houses reputation was refreshing to see. The day Karl does combat boots is the day he has won my heart.
Bo Don is one of my favorite models and ultimately kills it with this ed. Third shot is winning my love!

VI : Flying
Aymeline is a flawless french goddess and Ginta is just a beautiful person. I love the puffy winter outerwear layered up like armor and the urban setting. I cant say bad things about this ed. Im really loving the first shot of Ginta with the nice blue to pop against a grey environment.
Who'd think a magazine with Arizona Muse on this cover would have a rad ed with two amazing models?
Can we talk about Arizona's new haircut? Is that even a real thing? or is that just Tumblr messing with me?

IV : hair everywhere
So I should be finishing up an essay for my morning class but obviously Mariacarla in limited amounts of clothing is more important.
That vest in the last photo. No one will be able to comprehend that my life goal is to own a flawless leather vest that doesn't have the label "Forever 21" on it.
I owned one. It was a stupid bomber cut. It wasn't chic and it made me cry that I wasted hard earned babysitting money.
Enough of my sob stories. Wait. you should feel bad for me. Im writing an essay. To get the jist of it... its about the government and fat people. Insert look of disapproval at my teacher here.
I go to art school for pete's sake.
Anyway. Mariacarla is one of my favorite models. The fact that she and Riccardo Tisci (The genius behind Givenchy now-a-days) are besties is enough to make you say "awwww" every five minutes of every waking day.
Imagine the amounts of presents. GASP!
I'll take a rottweiler sweater!
